Internal Affairs Reports

Internal Affairs Investigations

Internal Affairs reports for the past three years and the current year will be redacted and made available on the department’s website once they are completed. Some reports may be redacted differently than others due to recent court decisions. The following types of reports will be posted: Complaints, Inquiries/Citizen Inquiries, and Use of Force.

Note: Complaints may not be posted in numerical order due to them being in various stages of the investigation and completed at different times. Inquiries, Citizen Inquires, and Use of Force reports will be posted as time allows due to the backlog.

The Spokane Police Department sincerely welcomes inquiries from the community concerning the performance of our employees. Investigation of these situations often allows us to assess the actions our employees with the ultimate objective of improving service where possible. To submit a complaint, please fill out the IA Complaint Form. You will soon be contacted about your complaint by the Internal Affairs investigator.
