Missing Pesons Case Now a Homicide Investigation

Spokane Police are investigating the body found on Sunday afternoon as a homicide, the victim has been identified as a missing person - Kala Williams.

 

Details:  Sunday, May 13, 2012, Spokane Police were dispatched to the area of 14th Avenue and Milton Street after children found what appeared to be human remains.  Major Crimes detectives responded and found the remains badly decomposed.  The extreme decomposition hindered the identification of the body.

An autopsy was completed today and the Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the body as 20 year old Kala Williams.  Williams had been reported missing over a month ago by family members, and a detective had been assigned to the case

Williams' death appears to be a homicide and the investigation is continuing as such.  Anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 327-5551.
