Contact : B. Eckersley #649 Date : 5/25/2012
Incident #: 12-160260

Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives arrested 7 suspects related to 4 armed robberies.  Two of those were “take over” style robberies of the McDonalds at 4647 S. Regal on 052512 and The Zip Trip at 2020 W. Francis on 053112.  Some members from that same group were arrested for the armed home invasion robberies at 2900 N. Hogan on 060612 and 1700 E. Columbia on 071312.  These suspects have been booked into jail or juvenile for 1st degree robbery and there will be a multitude of other felony charges once the investigation is completed.  At this time the following people have been arrested:

23 year old Michael D. Brown

21 year old Dwayne J. Tolbert

18 year old Alexsis A. Schell

24 year old Christopher M. Comer

25 year old Derek L. Wilson

And one 16 year old juvenile male and one 15 year old juvenile female

The majority of the arrests happened on 070512 and Tolbert was arrested today (070612).  Detectives seized 3 vehicles related to the robberies and conducted a search warrant on a residence in the 2400 block of East Francis and recovered evidence from the robberies.  Due to the violent nature of these armed robberies and some Gang affiliation of the suspects, the Major Crimes Unit coordinated with several departments to conduct the arrest sweep.  Spokane Police Special Investigation Unit, Targeted Crimes Unit, Patrol PACT team, Gang Enforcement Team, Patrol Officers, County Deputies, and The US Marshall’s Regional Violent Offenders Task Force were all involved in the operation.
