Contact : Sgt. Kevin King Date : 1/21/2013
Incident #: 13-21099

On January 21, 2013, between 1:47 am and 2:11 am, Spokane Police Officers responded to three different shooting calls.  There were no victims and no arrests were made.  These calls require multiple Spokane Police Officers responding “code” from all over the city to ensure the safety of the citizens of Spokane.

At approximately 1:47 am, Spokane Police Officers responded to the area of Morton and North St on numerous reports of multiple gunshots between two groups of subjects there in the street.  When officers arrived, they were unable to find any victims or evidence.  One officer spotted two subjects who then ran from the officer.  These subjects were not located and it is unknown at this time what their involvement was. 13-21090

At approximately 1:55 am, Spokane Police Officers responded to the Knitting Factory at 919 W. Sprague on a call of gunshots fired outside of the building.  Multiple officers responded, but did not find anything.  Officers were still checking the area and observing the large crowd leaving the event when at approximately 2:14 am, Spokane Police Officers heard shots fired from the front of the building.  Officers observed two vehicles speeding away, one the wrong way on Monroe Street.  These vehicles were stopped and the occupants identified, but they are not suspects at this time.  While Officers were dealing with the cars, they also had to deal with multiple fights breaking out.  Officers did recover some bullet casings at the scene.  There were no victims, no arrests, and no suspects at this time.  13-21099

At approximately 2:11 am, Spokane Police Officers responded to call of a shooting in the N. 1700 block of Maple.  Officers arrived on scene and discovered the victim of a physical assault, but no evidence of a shooting. An assault report was made in this case with no arrest.  13-21102
