Spokane Police Investigate Homicide

Spokane Police patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting just before 5am this morning.  When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the basement, with obvious signs of trauma.  19 year old Jeremy McVicker has been booked into jail for 1st Degree Manslaughter.  There are no other suspects and the murder weapon has been located.

On January 29, 2013, at 4:49am, Spokane Police received a call from a man, stating he had witnessed one friend shoot another friend.   When officers arrived, a male answered the door, and officers observed blood on his feet.  A further search of the home resulted in the discovery of a male victim, who had died from obvious trauma. 

Further investigation determined 19 year old Jeremy McVicker had accidently shot his 19 year old friend in the head, killing him.  McVicker attempted to dismember the victim’s body with a hatchet, in order to conceal the crime.  McVicker was booked into jail for 1st Degree Manslaughter. 

Detectives also interviewed male and female witnesses, who have since been released.
