The mission of the SPD SWAT TEAM is to support the SPD and any other requesting law enforcement agency approved by the Chief of Police or his designee with a tactical response to critical incidents. Critical incidents include hostage, barricade, or sniper situations, high-risk apprehension, high-risk warrant service, and special assignments.
